The Sovereign Lord is My Strength!

"Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.  The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to go on the heights." Habakkuk 3:17-19

I hope and pray that God will always enable me to trust in Him no matter what and to say: "Though...whatever I have to go through in life...(trials, sufferings, losses, etc.), yet I will rejoice in the Lord!"  He is indeed my strength and comfort.  Circumstances change but He never changes.  We can always be joyful in who He is.

Much needed words. I'm claiming this verse for my family this week that lost many crops due to flood this week.

wow two of my favorite verses in one post. Though the fig tree does not blossom has been a very special verse to me in times of loss. He is so faithful.
