Love Your Enemies

"But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?" Matthew 5:44-47

"But I tell you who hear Me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." Luke 6:27-28

"But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful." Luke 6:35-36

Amen... so easy to love our friends and families, but enemies is a whole other story. If we love Him, we need to rise to the challenge. I am thankful He helps us!

God bless and happy WFW!

What a wonderful message! We are taught in the Lord's prayer the "Our Father" to forgive those who trespass against us. But sometimes its difficult to do so. But, if we pray and ask the Lord to help us to forgive others who hurt us, he will surely come through for us.

Have a blessed day,
cheryl

Loving our enemies is no natural task but can only be done through Christ.
